All PvP changes in Patch 9.1.5: equipment, new ranks and group search

October 08 2021

In update 9.1.5, PvP fans are waiting for a lot of changes that will affect equipment levels and its improvement, ranks-ranks and the group search system. In this article, we will look at these changes and reflect on what they will affect and for what purpose they are introduced.

Increase the level of PvP equipment for Honor in PvP

In the upcoming update, non-rated PvP equipment will be enhanced and its level in PvP will significantly increase. This change will help new and alternative characters catch up as soon as possible and join the rest of the mass of players who have been playing for a long time. In the table below you will find the levels of unrated PvP equipment of different ranks in PvE and PvP, as well as the difference between them.

Curiously, the difference between PvE and PvP levels is higher in the early ranks than in the later ones. Thus, the developers most likely want to reduce the gap between poorly and well-equipped characters. This means that newcomers will have more chances to stand up against players fully equipped in powerful armor, and this will partially solve one of the main problems of this type of content – the threshold for entering PvP will decrease.

However, the equipment of Honor will retain its two drawbacks. The first is that the cost of improving items is too high, which increases with the level increase – even the most purposeful players manage to collect a full set of armor with an improvement to the maximum rank in a few months of active play. The second lies in the fact that these improvements depend on the level of fame, so a beginner, in addition to collecting equipment and currency, will also have to attend to the development of his fame, and this greatly increases the amount of effort and time that needs to be applied to this task.

Anyway, in this update, players will be able to get level 233 equipment without participating in rating PvP and only buying and improving Honor armor. Thanks to this, it will become stronger than the equipment of the Conquest of Season 1 and is similar to the Cortian armor, the loot of the world boss Mor’get, items from the usual mode of the Sanctuary of Domination and things from the final chest at the end of the races in epochal + level 12+ dungeons. And this is a great balance between different types of content. Average players will be limited by the level of the heroic mode of the current raid, and those who want to equip themselves with items of power of an epoch-making level of difficulty will have to take part in a rating PvP, things from which, thanks to the changes of update 9.1, will be the best for PvP.

Unlike the equipment of Honor, here the difference between PvE and PvP levels is the same at each rank and amounts to 13 points. The minimum level of Conquest armor will be similar to the maximum level of Honor armor, and this will be a natural continuation of the ladder of progress.

Conquest Gear also has a problem that concerns the chances of getting items from the Great Vault, primarily weapons. Weapons have a huge impact on the growth of the strength of most specializations, and therefore the prices for obtaining and improving them are the highest. Therefore, if the player is lucky enough to find a suitable weapon in the Great Vault, then he will not have to spend Conquest points in a few weeks to buy weapons, and then the maximum value of Honor points to improve it, and these funds can be purchased 2-3 other items. And the fact that luck plays such a great role in this matter is very bad. The developers did not say anything about solving this problem, and so far two options can be hastily come up – either to remove the weapon from the Great Repository, or to reduce the prices for its purchase and improvement – although they, of course, are not ideal.

Increase the number of Conquest Points received

Without waiting for the update to be released, the developers have increased the number of Conquest points received from all sources by 70%, which will also solve some of the problems with Conquest equipment. This is a very good change, which will primarily help those who joined the game late and now have to catch up, as well as those who accumulate Conquest points in limited ways like a daily task on the battlefield.

A new chest with a random item

In the upcoming update, those players who reach 1600+ rating points will be able to purchase for 500 Conquest points a Liberated Chest with equipment tied to the account, which contains a random base-level item from unrated PvP, which can be further improved for Honor points.
